Rental stair lifts are intended for shorter term use rather than permanent installations. The break even point depends on your stair lift make and model

Rentals over a year are often higher in cost than purchasing the lift.

In certain situations, you might find it more practical to rent a stair lift, rather than purchasing one. If you need a stair lift for only a temporary situation or if you do not wish to totally commit to fully investing in a stair lift, you should consider renting one!

Conveniently, we provide month to month rentals with an 3 month minimum. Keep in mind that stair lift rentals are a little unique because each stairway is different.

Most stair lift rentals are limited to straight rail models, as these are stock items — they simply require custom-made track or rail lengths. Rental versions of custom curved stair a not available because each curved unit is custom made to fit your unique staircase design.

Remember, if you think your need for a stair chair will exceed a period of, say, six months, it would probably be much wiser to purchase a new stair lift. This is because the cost of paying the initial fees for a rental — in addition to the monthly payments — may equal or exceed the cost of buying a new unit outright.
